Wow! You have asked a lot of questions. However, I find them well thought out and very challenging so I’ll attempt to answer them all to the best of my ability.

There is a very fine line between friends and lovers and it is common to confuse one with the other. Friendship is an imaginary ‘ship’ built by two people or a select group of people who share a bond of mutual affection, typically one exclusive of sexual or family relations. Irrespective of gender.

For explanatory purpose let us consider friendship between two people. How does it begin? Well two people meet, perhaps by way of introduction etc. If there is an amiable aura between them they become acquaintances. After a course of time a certain bond develops between them they start spending more time together, doing things together, etc. (the imaginary ‘ship’ building begins) Gradually they begin to share a bond of mutual affection exclusive of sexual feelings for each other …they have become ‘Friends.’ A true friendship never really ends.

1)Are they different types of friendship? No, friendship is friendship. Any relationship other then the one described above is something else and cannot be called friendship.
2)Is it ethical and moral for friends to become lovers? Here is where the thin line separating friend and lover comes into focus. As soon as ‘friends’ become ‘lovers’ they cease to become ‘friends’ as they have allowed sexual feelings/attraction to invade the bond they shared, as such they now become ‘lovers’ (Lovers = Friendship + sexual attraction/feelings)
3)What makes a friendship long last? Key ingredient for ‘friendship’ is ‘Trust’ as long as there is trust there will be friendship.
4)How can we prevent a friendship becoming sour? Don’t allow mistrust to creep in.
5)What are the things can we expect from a friend? Everything & nothing…you should expect everything from a friend but it should not matter if the friend can sincerely do/offer nothing.

If a man does not make new acquaintance as he advances through life and if these are not converted into friendships he will soon find himself left alone. However, he can exist better than the man who has false friends. Yes it is very true that some 'selfish' people befriend you not for friendship but for what they can ‘use’ you for…these are false friends.

I hope I have answered all your queries satisfactorily.

Friendship is finding someone to be yourself with. Having someone you can trust and be trusted by. It begins when you find that person that you feel comfortable with and trust. If it's a true friendship it doesn't end.
1. There is a true friend- A person like I described above. An social friend. Which is a person you might hang out with once in a while but you don't know them all that well. You just get along and hang out in certain situations. A co worker type friend. This is someone you are friendly to at work but it ends there. There is also something called a friend of the family. This person is like a family member. You love them like a cousin or brother/sister.

2. Some friends become lovers. This could end up in marriage or lose of friendship if it doesn't work out. It is very normal to fall in love with a friend. Weather you are gay or not there is an attraction each person has for a friend. This is what draws you to each other. It may or may not have anything to do with sex or sexual feelings. It's just a general attraction.

3. A friendship will only last if you are honest and faithful to each other. You have to have a great respect for each other. You have to trust this person and be worthy of trust.

4. I'm not sure a friendship can become sour. As I said a true friend is someone you don't have to preform for. You don't need to spice things up for your friend. All you have to do is be a friend and always be there for each other.

5. All of the above.
