Really depends on what is causing the odor. Is it people smoking in the car? or was there water spilled causing mildew? If it is general odors, i like to go to the japanese import car stores and pick up their fragrances. there's all types so it depends on what style you like. it can cost a little but i think it's worth it. i rather spend the money on those than those green tree scents that you hang in the car... :) i have one in my BMW and it lasts for months. Or, if you need to clean your car, i would do that first...take out the carpets and vaccum. Never hurts!

Someone else also recommended carbon. Absolutely and there is a perfect product for this. Personally, I don't really like sprays and fragrances that just cover up smells and particulary those that have warning statements on them about being an irritant. I've tried lots of different things for odors and I finally found a product that I've stuck with for years now. It's really great. It is called "FRIDGE IT" odor absorbers and it's a little purple cube with activated carbon filter inside. Works fantastic. I keep one in my car and one in my trunck. I also use these in my fridge and also freezer but also use these things all around including under sink and near my trash. I've even used it around diaper pail. It is fragrance free and just eliminates the odors and works for a long time. I have friends that use these in their car to get rid of smoke smells so I guess it works for that too. I love these things. You can buy it in kitchen sections of stores like Walmart and Linens and Things. Also, I believe web site?
Really worth trying. So much better than all these other products

Ozium New Car Smell is the best. Car smells like new every time and a few sprays in the cabin usually lasts about a week. This works better than febreeze. Also a yearly steam clean of the interior by an auto detailer helps to.

There is this stuff called molecule something. Once you spray it in the area, it breaks down the air molecules and gives a new car smell.
