I am already 32 but I'm always mistaken as a 17 or 19 year old. Its kind of flattering at first but now its getting to be annoying. I live in Las Vegas and everytime I sign up for a player's card, go to the bar to get a drink or play on the slot machine I'm always asked for my ID and if I'm above 21. There has been many instances that I was approached by a security officer while playing on the slots and I have to show my ID to prove to him my age. In my workplace some of my colleagues would not include me on adult talk because they say I'm too young for it. And worse of all, my stepfather refers to me as "the little girl." What is wrong with me? What do you think should I do to look my age or at least to look a bit older.?

You possibly have a relatively low self-esteem or confidence in yourself which would cause you to give off more of a victim type of vibe. Get on the path of learning all about yourself, learn to love yourself, read books about body language and you will be able to improve your presence. What you wear or how you do your hair may need to be investigated further as well. It's really all about how you carry yourself though. This takes time and lots of self-work.

AH FINALLY, I do know exactly how you feel, at 18, people thought I was twelve, at 20 people thought I was 14, etc. I'm not short or anything, i'm 5'5". But I have SUCH a young face. First off, get a hair cut that's right for your face. I ALWAYS had long hair, with "school girl" bangs. Add that to a young face, and you're doomed to be carded wherever you go.
Secondly, start wearing earthy colors. They're still neutral, which is good for a woman your age, especially if you look so young. Secondly, wear misses cloths. If you're shopping in the junior section *yes, i've seen this before* at your age, then there's something seriously wrong. You belong with me, in the Misses section. The cloths are better quality anyway.
As far as lipstick. Peach gloss is best. Keep it neutral and natural, and remember to apply mascara. The way you apply blush depends on where your cheekbones rise.
I'd suggest watching TLC's What Not To Wear, not only to they show girls like us *and many others* the right things to wear, but they have Nick Arogia *i can never spell his name* styling and cutting hair. And Carmendy doing make up. It has helped me tremendously.
I still get confused for someone very young, but I don't get carded anymore!

First, u need not make urself look older. Then, be happy with how u look like. Do u know lots of girls love to have the look u had? Most girls nowadays are trying to look young, and u have it naturally...so why complain abt it? As a guy, i wld think that u definitely look cute too. And there is nothing wrong with u. Be happy dear! Am younger then u by 2 yrs..got a young look too and am happy when someone asked for my ID...haha..makes me feel young again!

sometimes facial hair can help guys look older. dress professionally...you look older when you're dressed up and people take you more seriously. even in casual situations, try to wear dressy casual like banana republic type clothing. if you have any extra pounds, that also can make you look younger. i get mistaken for younger too and i do find it annoying when i'm out and 21 year old guys are hitting on me and the 30 year olds are looking past me like i'm a little girl. i think they would like that i'm 27 but look younger but they'll never know. argh! good luck!

A mature hair style and clothing. Buy fashionable age appropriate clothes. If you have long hair, maybe get a new shorter style. If you already appear this way, then there's not much else you can do. Sure it's a little annoying, but most women would love to have your problem:)

Nothing is wrong with that you just want to be treated as a adult you just need to tell the people around you how you feel.

Nothing.. Enjoy that gift while it lasts. There are many women your age that would kill to be able to say that.
