From what I understand Americorp is like a domestic peace corp, that works at home. Just out of curiosity, is there a section anywhere in the bylaws of Americorp that states that those who serve can be upgraded to another division and/or sent to serve during times of war (not necessarily on US soil)?

You can read more about AmeriCorps here: http://www.americorps.gov/about/ac/index.asp

I saw nothing about volunteers being sent to serve in foreign wars.

I f the government wants you they can get you, its called the draft, they have done it before. Go to war or go to jail, for some reason, this is how it is, unless you are the only living child, Or a single mother. I hope you never have to see up close, there's nothing pretty about it.
