The 40 hour work week. The Bill of Rights. Weekends. Equal pay for women and minorities in the work place. Free primary and secondary education. The abolishing of Jim Crow Laws. A woman's right to vote. The voting age being 18. Hustler Magazine. Minimum Wage. Regulated safe working environments. Safe food.ect. ect. ect.

Let's see. The idea that "all men are created equal" would be considered liberal. The whole "let's free the slaves thing" would probably be considered liberal, as would the Civil Rights movement. Votes for women--that worked out pretty well. Freedom of speech; I support that one. The fact that we're allowed to be on this website arguing and insulting each other is actually pretty cool, considering the world our forefathers came from.

I agree with most of ed-mike's list!!! But not the safe food part, and I am not 100% convince of the equal pay part, at least not all the time!!!
