Cheap jewelry sometimes contains nickel, which will turn you green. I bought this great necklace and it gave me this really embarrassing green ring around my neck. So try and see if it has a no nickel tag on it. Some of the better, cheap jewelry has it.(the no nickel tag) I know it sounds stupid but there are degrees of cheap jewelry. cheap, kinda cheap, real cheap. I like Claires, its were I get my sunglasses.

If it's not real silver (silverware is always marked), then the possibility of it turning your finger green or brown is very likely.
