What would your reason of getting them tailored and honestly is there still a demand for it nowsaday?

I certainly would.
Clothes these days are designed for a handful of body-types; everyone else has to conform or look bad. For those who are different, from fat people to bodybuilders to tall people, tailoring is a favored option.
Let's not forget the extravagant factor either; unique looks are very desirable.

Very few people are "perfect" size. Tailoring your clothes makes them fit properly. Perhaps the pants are too long, or the sleeves...tailoring is going to correct that for you.
