Oh thats too funny, when Peyton wins two more Super Bowls!! Seize the day Indy, because this was the only year Peyton Manning is going to win the Super Bowl. 10 years into his career, I KNOW he's peaked (2 seasons ago), plus the AFC is getting stronger and stronger, Chargers, Broncos, Bengals, Jets, and of course, the Patriots. All these teams, possess younger talent, and are knocking at Peytons withered door. And yes, manning better than Brady is crazy talk.

HOLY COW!! Tiffani, you have no idea what the heck you're talking about. Over rated defense, and the colts exposing that defense. No way, obviously you didn't watch the same game i did. the bears defense was on the field for over 40 minutes of the game. what in the world do you think is going to happen when you're on the field that long. The colts didn't expose anything on the Bears defense, they started out great, until TIME, did its job and wore the defense out.

the bears couldn't move the ball 15 yds. or even have the ball for over 2 minutes. of course, the defense is going to soften up after 40 minutes of game time. whew, your credibility in this game is as good as 10 year old girls wrestling crocodiles. please, quit watching the game, and take the colts football franchise with you.

Why in the world would Rex Grossman throw the game? He's already making millions of dollars a year. If he won the Super Bowl people would probably stop doubting him. Now Rex Grossman did make some mistakes, but who wasnt expecting him to throw some interceptions and fumble the ball. It was the defense that killed the Bears. They played soft coverage and let Manning throw the ball underneath them all day. Lovie Smith was completely out coached. The Colts adjusted to the Bears while the Bears did not adjust to the Colts. And by the way Peyton is a way better QB than Brady. As long as they got a ring it dont matter. Now if Brady can throw for 4,000 yards in 8 consecutive seasonsn, maybe we can start comparing him to Manning. I mean what if Vinateiri had missed that kick against the Rams in Brady's first Super Bowl. Or the other one against the Panthers in his second. Who knows what would have happened. We might not even consider Brady one of the best QB's in the game right now.

You and your dad aren't too bright then. No he didn't throw the game. Have a little bit of class and give the Colts a little bit of credit. The Bears were just bad and the Colts were just too good for them. The Bears coaching from Lovie Smith on down was terrible. They didn't adjust to what the Colt offense was doing and the Bears offense fell right into the trap of the Colts defense. The Bears defense played Chicken Sh_t football for most of the game by staying back in a modified prevent defense. As a result they got no pressure on Manning and also could not stop the run. Manning and the colts systematically picked the Bears defense apart across the middle of the field. Everything about the Colts was better. They had the better coaching, gameplan and exection. This is coming from a Bears fan, not a Colts Fan.

Why Bears lost?
1. They played the Colts.
2. Over-rated defense. They couldn't stop the running game and didn't blitz enough. Well, their real defense was exposed!!!
3. Offense sucked! Running game was easily stopped by the Colts' defense. Passing game wasn't strong enough.

**The better team won** The Colts were favored 7 points for a reason, and the Bears were 7 points UNDERDOGS for a reason.

aawww...superdave is mad because the Colts beat the Patriots for two consecutive seasons and took their SB dream away (assuming that you're a Pats fan)...:-( btw, I'm not exactly a Colts' fan, I'm from So Cal, not from Indy...Peyton Manning is in fact better than Tom Brady. Brady is NOTHING without Belichick. He can't run the offense like Manning can.

Joey, you forgot one more Super Bowl...the one against the Eagles. It was by a field goal too. 3 Super Bowls won by a field goal...They were favored 2 times by 7 points, they couldn't even cover the spread.

You're insane.

Manning: 3131-4890, 37586 yds, 275 TD, 139 INT (9 Seasons)
Brady: 1896-3064, 21564 yds, 147 TD, 78 INT (7 Seasons)

Per Season Average:
Manning: 348-543, 4176 yds, 31 TD, 15 INT
Brady: 271-437, 3081 yds, 21 TD, 11 INT

Per Attempt:
Manning: 7.69 yds, .0562 TD, .0284 INT
Brady: 7.04 yds, .0480 TD, .0255 INT

So, Manning is clearly the better statistical QB. The only thing Brady has on him is that Manning throws picks slightly more often. And now, you can't say that Peyton can't win the big one anymore, since he has his ring. Also, Brady doesn't have the same game management responsibilities that Manning does. Manning puts up HOF numbers while essentially serving as his team's offensive coordinator at the same time.

Brady's a decent QB on a great team, but seriously, it's time to put the rest this "one of the greatest ever" nonsense.

You are right about one thing though. Grossman was terrible.

Edit:
So, by your logic, Trent Dilfer is a better QB than Dan Marino, since Dilfer won a Super Bowl and Marino did not. Now it makes sense.

they didnt have to pay too much, in the recent few years i have begun to wonder which is more fake pro football or Pro wrestling (the crap on usa on monday night not olympic style). last year Bettis got to go out on top in hs hometown.
This year the DOLPHINS hand the bears their first loss of the season??? noone ever heard that one before.
after the 3rd game of the season i was sure the saints were going to the big show because they had such a bad deal with katrina and the previous season, but they didnt, thats what is called a plot twist. Marty is horrible in the playoffs, but the chargers should have beat new england that made me certain that it would be peyton and the colts going to the superbowl. he had to beat brady this time, because tony dungy's son died last season.

I know sunday is a Primetime television spot but the plot twists dont have to rival desperate housewives.

Next year the packers are going all the way. Brett has paid his dues time and time again he's back and so will the pack. the broncos have dealt with a loss of a player so they will be back, and most of all look out because if the mannings are buying superbowls its only fair to give one to his brother too

its obvious you're either a Bears fan or a Brady fan.

peyton is going down as the best qb in the nfl ever when his carrer is finally done. he'll have the records and he'll have his ring. doesnt matter if he doesnt win anymore.

grossman didnt get paid off. i you actually watched his *** play this season you would have known that he sucks under pressure.

you should be writing about how bad the Bears defense played and how bad the Bears running game couldn't get going playing against the WORST running defense EVER.

it was obvious all season that the AFC was clearly a more dominate conference than the NFC.

Throw the game? Are u ok, dude? Almost anybody could see the smear coming. Without Hester's return it would have been 29-12. Grossman is the Mad Professor of quarterbacks; Jerry Lewis with pads.

INEPT.

Grossman played no diferently than the rest of the season. Incredibly accurate but very bad at "rifle" shots (most of his passes have a very high arc). Defensive players have more than enough time to react to the pass, do their taxes, have a drink, etc. That's why a previously open reciever suddenly has two defenders at his back arms spread wide to catch the ball.

No, thats why the colts defense picked him off 4 times in the regular season in one game, and picked him off in their playoff matchup. Now that Manning is over the hump, he will easily throw perfectly in the playoffs.
