This is REALLY becoming a subject of contention as everyone grows tired of it, frustration sets in, and especially with all the politicians who supported the war in the beginning who plan to use it's unpopularity as a platform to try to gain office in the next election.

Exactly what the administration is doing now. Giving General Petraeus, (the new U.S. commander in Iraq), the troops he needs to deal with the insurgency and changing the rules of engagement (giving the troops more freedom to do their job). Stop giving 'aid and comfort' to our enemies by passing "non-binding" resolutions that tell the U.S. troops what they're about to risk their lives for, won't work.

At the same time, creating an external coalition of Sunni states (i.e. Saudi, Egypt, U.E.U., and Pakistan) who won't just sit back and watch as the Sunnis in Iraq are slaughtered.

Even the Dems know full well that cutting and running now would be a disaster for everyone and especially us.

Give the "surge" a chance to work without undercutting it before it even has a chance.

start at the end of Iraq and don't stop until you get it cleaned out. let the military do their job. keep the politicians out of the war if they have something to say let them talk from Iraq with a rifle in their hands. do not let happen in v.n. untie the military hands and let them do their job. they could have it done in 2 mounts. but Wait if they finish too some there goes the economy ti is based on WAR. every time it is good there is a war some where.

In my opinion our political leaders lied did everything possible to invade a country we had no busness being in in the first place .So American petroleum companies could steal oil from some of the richest oil deposits in the middle east .What a coincedence the Bush family is the biggest oil barrens in Texas Sadam was no threat to our country .We are the ones that equipped his army to fight Iran and more or less put him in power .We didnt care about what he did until we needed a reason to steal oil .Our country is much more at risk now from terroists than when he was in control .Iraq at least had electricity schools, hospitals wasn't a complete ruins ,and was safe for people to go to the market without being killed .3000 American kids lives and trillions of our tax dollars when a lot of people are struggling here to get by .What good has it done .Only the oil companies have prospered .Our government has lost I think last I knew about 70 million dollars that it doesnt know what happened too .Some one stole 500,000 small arms from us they dont know who got .I can't understand why it isnt going better for us considering these things .That political stage show with Sadams trial was a same as murder .Thinking he could get a fair trial with out an international court .Like there was any chance the people we put in charge would let him walk out of there. American political justice he was tried for killing 128 people and we killed 250,000 innocent civialians with our bombs . Our greedy corrupt political leaders have made such a fiasco out of the whole affair at the cost of our country and people . I think that we are so committed now that we have no choice but to take the country . But not just messing around take the damn place over commit to the job not just half assed . Put our guys over there not in strong enough numbers to do the job . Then want to stop funding them .Thats B.S . Put 4 times as many troops over there and kick some *** and take names and get it done instead of this . Curfews take all weapons martial law if thats what it takes to control it do it not piss around for 4 years with place the size of that .Its ridiculous that we cant control that place . You cant control it when you see civilians with guns standing on every corner . I know its easier to win a ware in yahoo answers than to be there but I dont think we have committed to really controll things obviously .This is just draining tax payers annd giving petroleum companies more time to pump oil ,and costing American and Iraqi lives

The war in Iraq is a fact. The best we can do is run and hide.

I'd send Mr. Bush (our fearless leader) to Iraq, hand him the biggest gun he could carry- & tell him, "Have at it, George. "This is your LAST chance to bring peace & Democracy to Iraq..." Whatever happend next- would justify all the American casualties that have occurred there over the past 4 years...
