As most of the people suggested you can fornat your PC, Reload the OS and give it.

But if the other guy really wants to get your data he can run a Data Recovery software on your laptop which would RAW read your entire hard disk and should be able to recover some files.

To securely wipe the entire disk, you can use Seagate Disk Manager. Go to www.seagate.com search and download Seagate Disk Manager.

Download the ISO CD Version and burn it on a CD.

You can boot from the CD. Once booted you will get a GUI and you can select Utilities and Zero Fill. It would take some time but is worth the time if you want to erase the entire data.

I have used it before and it does a very good job.

More over its complete Free Ware.

If you need further clarifications please get back to me.

deleting some thing to the recycle bin in common words clears the thoughts from that part of the hardpersistent an till or except that part of the hardpersistent is overwritten, the thoughts can nevertheless be retrieved from it.....you're extra perfect off reinstalling the operating equipment and formatting the hardpersistent....even as reinstalling do no longer setup any passwords and set the default person as "proprietor" or somthing like that....that way whoever receives the computing device interior the top can change the call and setup their personal password somewhat than being forced to apply yours. also no matter if that is operating domicile windows you should grant them with the operating equipment disc or a minimum of a duplicate of it or the fix disc that got here with the computing device or you may't legally promote it with the os on it. in case you do not have the disc(s) then only format the computing device and go away it without an OS and then the fellow determining to purchase it would want to ought to installation their personal replica.

to get rid of all the website and temporary files that slow the comp, go to start, programs, accessories, system tools, then disk cleanup. just check all the boxes, and click the ok. And to get rid of programs, go to start, click control panel, and go to "Add or Remove Programs" there it should show a list of the majority files on ur laptop. BUT MAKE SURE u remove the files that u know what they r so that u dont accidentally uninstall important stuff like modem drives and graphics programs and stuff like that
