even if i unplug all the desktop speakers the crackle will also come through on the monitor speaker even if i turn its volume off.how can this be! What can this be?

problem with the monitor speaker connection socket, try replace or repair even if the wire is damage or ground connection wire is cut u will listen the crackling sound,
replace the wire or socket

On of the wires to the speaker has a short. Re-solder new wires to the speaker and replace the connectors.

i think of it is as a results of the quantity u set it on, if u positioned the quantity to the max it could distort the audio device, try it wen the quantity is low or get extra effectual audio device (watts)
