Because we need to. As humans we have a basic need to love & be loved. You tend to love those that you see as extensions of you: either blood relatives, close friends, significant other. Those that you relate to, those that you share experiences with. We are social animals. We need each other. You love those that you feel the closest to. It's part of survival. No one can exist without love of some kind.

However much, pressent day generation may stay aloof, the basic qualities of human beings were to stay together and live collectively, in search of food and sharing the same . Due to changes, in our employment pattern, we started living in different places. Further, differences started occuring due to the different life style followed due to status due to employment, That will not take away, WHOLLY and TOTALLY the basic nature of love and care shown to others.

nature has emotions build in so that the human race does not die out ,or any other specie as well .it is love that fuels the sex drive

Because love is the greatest feeling of emotion that one can have. Love is the greatest gift of all; it outweighs every materialistic item that you can ever own. Without love, then what do we truly have?

I think the reason we do is b/c we are like our father in heaven and we were created to have gods emotions and feelings.We were created to love and multiply. That is why we love.

It forms out of careing, respect, natural human instincts. i also beleive it is definded by the willingness or need to keep careing and respecting.
