This is just a writer's question. But at on average, when can a person tell what gender their baby might be?

you cant. it's a 50/50 chance of getting it correct. and those are REALLY good odds.

for a sonogram...i usually had mine at 18 weeks. my kids like to play hide and seek. my last one....she didn't turn over till she was 22 weeks!

About 12 weeks or so if the baby cooperates. I know that you carry a girl up high and a boy down low. Also your breasts grow a great deal when its a girl and your hips spread more when its a boy. I've had 3 and that's how I could tell before I even had an ultrasound. Just a little advice.

the baby has a gender obvious at as little at 3 months but normally doctors wont have the ultrasound for gender until the baby is preferrably 20 weeks ( 5 months)

i think from 3rd month it is clearly visible althoug nowadays with the advance technique u can tell even before but the possibility is only 95% and 5% detection can be wrong as that time the baby is very small,in my friends case she got the gender checked early and the doctor said it was a boy,but later on ,the next ultrasound on 8th month showed it was a girl,so by 3-4 months it would be much clearer

If you use some old wives ways you can tell at any time during the pregnancy( but they are not always right) if you use an ultra sound then you can tell at about 20 weeks sometimes as early as 16-18 weeks

They say the best time to tell is around four months. You dont want to check before then because it wont be accurate. Sure dont want to be stuck with girl clothes and it comes out a boy. Or been calling you son Ashley for nine months. Gender issues forreal LOL

If you have an ultrasound they can tell the gender of the baby. I think they can tell you about five months pregnant.

To get an accurate detemination of the sex of your baby is after the 20 week mark. The genitals are more formed making it easier to tell...
