Take Biology AP and Chemistry AP. Those two will help the most for a medical future.

normal hs classes. what you need are calculus, scientific physics, biology organic chemistry, and many other courses. what you need to concentrate on in college arte the physical sciences, biology chemistry, and chemistry. as for a major, medical schools take all majors, but what is most important are the required courses to be admitted. you can proceed with a second doctorate as you are in medical school, such as a phd in chemistry, or english, but you will find that unless you have a 3.5 or better four year college average gpa you will not be admitted. many will not take anyone with less than 3.8 gpa. that is how difficult and competitive entry is. once you complete your med school, and pass the boards, you will do at least one year of residency. then you will be given the opprtunity to choose a specialty, and only if you are granted or accepted to the particular field for additional training will you be able to become a pediatritian. pediatrics is a speciallty, as is pedeatric surgury and several other areas of specialty in pediatric care.
i tried to get into med school mysekf, but i wasn't able to do the chemistry well enough to keep me eligible and my gpa was to low. best of luck, and study, study, study. and then study even more.

Go with LOTS of math and science courses. They will be good preparation for the math and science that you have to take to become an M.D., which is what you'll have to do to become a pediatrician!

Biology and chemistry and some mathematics. A psych course wouldn't hurt either.
