It all depends on what you are cleaning. If cleaning out the toilet bowl, bleach is the best. When I want a degreaser in the kitchen, I use a Lysol cleaner. Lysol smells better than bleach.

As far as smell I like the lysol best it has this clean smell. Does excellent job on walls and floors. Its all so a disinfectant. Bleach does a great job on laundry. I also use it in washing my dishes ,kills a lot of germs especially when you have a child that is sick. Both are best when you consider that they both have a lot of different uses.

They both kill bacteria and germs but only bleach will remove stains and whiten. Don't use it on colored clothes it will remove the color. Bleach is a very strong disinfectant and kills virus. Read instructions. Rinse it off of eating surfaces, use it diluted when wiping down counters. Full strength is rarely necessary except to pour in the toilet bowl or drain. Or to bleach out stains in a ceramic sink. Be sure to rinse with clear water any surface that contacts the body or eating utensils after you disinfect with bleach. Lysol is great on floors, counters, walls, pay attention to it's dilution percentages also, and rinse after use unless you used a weak solution then it's OK not to rinse, it's safe in weak concentration to just let it dry after cleaning, no rinse necessary.

A 10% bleach solution is a very good disinfectant, but it is only good for one day. After that it loses it's potency. Lysol is also a very good cleaner and it stays good longer, but it is more expensive. Personally, I use the bleach when I can but if I'm in a hurry, I'll use the Lysol.

From my past experience cleaning with both products.

I believe Lysol is great for cleaning the kitchen counters & oven and grease stains.

However I only recommened bleach for cleaning white objects only

White clothes
Proclain
Toilets
Sanks

I like Lysol because it comes in different scents- I use a lime scented Lysol. Also, bleach smells too strong and it can stain and ruin your clothes.
