Hey there, college guy here. I just found out my roommate (another guy) is gay. We get along well, but we never really talked about our sexuality. He always seemed straight to me. But a few days ago, I passed by his room (two bedroom apt), and I noticed he had put up a few posters of shirtless men! I mean, not like celebrities or anything, but really gay stuff. No two men kissing, but lots of shirtless men and abs, and whatever. It's kinda making me sick! He never told me he was gay. I don't have a problem with it, but what can/should I do???? please!

hey hes just a roomate its not liek u two r togheter or whatever. if he has a lot of guys over and it really starts to bother you a lot , then u may want to rethink the lviing situation u knwo?

If you don't have a problem with it, then why are you making such a big deal out of it? I don't think I'd feel any different as long as he didn't bring another guy into the apartment without consulting you first. Since you have noticed that he has these posters on the wall, you have the right to ask him if he's gay. When he tells you he is, then you need to make some new house rules. He doesn't bring his sex life into your apartment, and you don't bring yours into the apartment either. I think you DO have a problem with it, otherwise you wouldn't be asking about it. Just because he's gay doesn't mean that you are!

well as long as ur not gay theres nothing to worry about, i found out that one of my close friends was gay and i was shocked for like a week but im okay with it now..its his life and that shouldnt make things different in a friendship.good luck

You should not do a damn thing! If he is your friend and you have already established a relationship with him, its not like he is going to hit on you or anything. He just has his preference and that has nothing to do with you, so be his friend and dont sweat the small sh#! man! It shouldnt change a thing!

first, its a two bedroom apartment, u have ur own bed room and not sharing with him. second, he is straight with you. third, you said you don't have problem with him being gay, its just that he hadn't told you. if you confront him about his being gay, he might just respond to mind your own business. just let things be. cross the bridge when you reach it. do not cloud your mind with other ideas. you will just destroy your friendship. just continue to respect each others sexual preferences.

I can't think of any reason why you should worry. you said you get along well before you knew his sexuality. stay the same. he has been a friend to you all along and i don't think he's planning to do something "bad" to you.

If you don't have a problem with it; let it be. If you want to do something you can get another roommate. If he haven't tried you then you okay.
