sprint plan ???

if i add or take away any extra service to my plan, like the internet or pictures mail, do i have to renew my contract ???

I also have Sprint and no you dont have to renew your contract if you take away or add extra service.(I am always adding and taking away things from my plan). That's if you get a new phone which you must wait a year if not you have to pay full price.

No. You shoud be able to go month to month. If you do that they won't let you upgrade your plan. Downgrading should not be a problem once you have met the obligations of your contract.
