His real name is Fred Rogers. He was married, up to the time of his death. He was not gay but did preach tolerance and acceptance for all people. He was an amazing advocate for the value of families. If you want to know a little more go to wikipedia.
Not sure about the person who does Barney's voice.

No Way! That was one of the most awesome men I've ever heard of. Not only was he a Minister but also an ex-Navy Seal, an extremely selective special-forces team. the reason he wore that cardigan-sweater???- to hide all his tattoos! it's no joke, he was trained to be a killer and he could kill any man he wanted to almost instantaneously but something very hardcore happened in his life that I will leave with you (as a gift) to discover for yourself. He was and is an exceptional man and his life is an amazing event that I know you will love to discover... what a great man!
Barney...? **** if I know, pretty strange,,, and purple makes you wonder. but who the heck would barney swordfight with anyway?

His real name was Fred Rogers, just like he claimed. No, he wasn't gay, not that that is in any way relevant to anything, or any of your business.

No. Mr. Rogers was not gay. He was just a very conservative Christian who also worked as a minister; Presbyterian I believe.

no, most likely not- as least most sources would indicate not. He was married and a presberyian minister, although he was a rare figure from his era that was pro-tolerance for homosexuality.
