It depends on who is smart, one who is succesful, one who has the brains or one who looks smart.
According to me a smart person knows very well when his honesty is going to give good returns and also when to lie. So in short a smart person knows when to speak out his heart and when to use his mind. Accordingly he is honest or dishonest depending on the situation.

Some smart people misuse their intelligence by being dishonest, but an honest person is a smart person, because they know that being honest requires the least amount of effort, the least amount of memory, and the least amount of running!

that depends how you want to define intellegent. if being true to what you believe in and speaking the truth belive me they do not always get ahead in life. you will never see them ruling a country. no one ever wants to hear the truth. but if you want to see smart people telling the truth you should look world wide from people who are jailed for telling the truth. our country right now is working on jailing "smart" people who tell the truth with the patriot act.

smart people are mostly not honested person becaues they keep every thing in their heart and in correct time they burst it from their heart
