should internet be censored?

on sites like youtube showed graphic content like saddam husseins execution. what should be done about this and what city/state you live in?

There are many things I find on the Internet that are disgusting.No they shouldn't be censored.People have the right to view or not view whatever they want.Minors should not have access to obscene material though.When there of age they can make their own decisions.

Censorship depends on other people deciding what's good and what's bad. A few years ago, many public libraries in the United States decided to censor the Internet so people couldn't access "bad" websites on the library computers. But the new censorship rules meant women with breast cancer could no longer research information about their disease because the word "breast" had been filtered out.

So you tell me..... if you had breast cancer, and you wanted information that could save your life, should you be denied that information just because someone else decided the word "breast" was dirty???

If you don't want to see it then don't. you make that choice. that's what is great about America they don't tell you what you can and can't see. If you want a censored Internet then move to China

nothing should be done and nothing could be done....the internet it world wide no country can inforce a law becuase it would not be applicable to other countries...besides in USA freedom of speech and press ring a bell....
