If your buying a new laptop you can safely go ahead and buy it.

US uses 110 V Power where as some countried use 230V Power.

So in older days Laptops and Devices in US didnt work in rest of the world and devices from rest of the world didnt work in US.

People used to buy 110V 2 230V convertors and vice versa.

But current generation power supplies take input from 100V-250V.

This will make sure that they are universal.

Just as caution check your Laptop Power Input Rating which would be there on the down of the Power Adapter.

If the Eurpore PINS dont plug to US scokets you can always buy adapters for that.
