I do not know of a perfect single word that fits that definition.
I first though of going with "ruminate" or "cogitate"; however, both of those connote "thinking deeply" more than "debate" which suggests inner conflict.
So, my best guess is "vacillate" which means to go back and forth or hesitate in a choice or opinion.
Truth be told, the best answer might be "self-debate" which, although hyphenated, is only one word. :)
