My son is 6 months old and my scar is not fading like some people told me it would. Any ideas if it will get any less noticable? Any suggestions? Also what about the front pudge? Will I always have the dreaded 'mom jeans look'?

it's going to take longer than 6 months hon. your body is still recovering from the surgery AND carrying a child for so long. give it a year.

vitamin E is very good for scars. there are also some scar diminishing creams you can find at your local drug store that should help with the discoloration....but nothing heals it better than time.

The scar will fade. It will turn into a little thin white line that is barely noticeable. Just give it a little time. I've had two c-sections and you can't even see my scar from my last one which was 18 months ago. As far as the pooch. It's all in the genes. Depends on your genetics my dear. You could try exercise though. May help.

My daughter turned 2 in Oct. '06 and I had an emergency c section. I have a rugged scar and it is more red now than the day after it happened. I also have a "pudge"-- I dont think it could ever go away--at least in my opinion. No matter how much I have exercised- it is still there.
Hope this helps in some way.

Mederma works great for scars. As far as the pudge, you should be able to get rid of body fat. Depending on how you carried your son, your stomach muscles may be a little more difficult to get back into shape. It takes a little time, but you can do it.

Wish I could help you. I had a C-section and I can't even tell. My doctor/surgeon was excellent..supposedly the best in her field. I am scheduled for my second c-section on April 16th. As for the front pudge...try pilates...they really work. Good luck.

Not to get too personal...and sound to explicit, but i have a bikini incision, and my pubic hair covers it...and as far as the pudge goes, work out,if that doesn't help then (plastic surgery) if it bothers you that bad
