Dear Yahoo readers,

I'm in a performance, and we have to airbrush our faces blue, by professional make-up artists, but still, and I have extremely sensitive skin. I also have big pores which are known to be snesitive when I borke out when I was four to face - paint.. I'm seriously in need of help considering that my part has to have htis make-up and I'm not sure what to do. Does anyone know what's in air-brush make-up!!! I can't afford to have a big huge break out.. I really freaked out what it could do to my skin. The first show is tomorrow!

PLEASE!!! Help!

Karina

Make sure the blue make up is alcohol free and non condemogenic first of all!
Second you can put on a silicone primer before they apply the make up this will protect the skin
and just wash it off right after the show. It takes a while for pimples to develope so its not like you'll just break out right away.

Tomorrow morning, contact whoever hired the makeup artist, get her number and just give her a call. Most likely, it will be safe for your skin as she couldn't use a product that isn't safe for most people and still be in business. Tell her you have sensitive skin. There is a chance she mixes her own makeup since it's blue. Maybe she would be willing to use your regular makeup or something appropriate for your skin as the base mixed with the blue from her supply and come up with a formula that will do the least harm to your skin. I wish you luck!

do you think maybe they can give you a mask instead?

airbrush makeup is just like a normal make up. the diffrence is the tool they are using.

they spray on some liquid foundation like thing on to your face.

Maybe you should cover your face with a thin layer of whatever lotion you use on your face right before the makeup, that way it can't soak in so much.

There is a special make-up at a store that you can wear that protects skin. I wish you luck

put on your own foundation and moisturizer before you go there. it should act as a shield to the make up they put on you.
