I'm hoping to get tickets to an Eric Clapton concert next month, but it's sold out so I'll have to buy the tickets from Craigslist. How can I tell if the tickets are real, or if I'm just going to be ripped off? Can you tell just by looking at the tickets? What are some ways to be sure that I don't lose a couple hundred bucks?

Thanks!

Do you think they're more expensive on eBay?

Yeah you're definitely right, I should have been quicker about this, but I just found out about it on Saturday night so I'm just trying to pull something together! My birthday's the day after the concert, so I thought that would be a great way to celebrate the big one six.

Besides... the early bird catches the worm, but the late worm lives, right?

for one, don't buy them on craigslist, get them on ebay, and pay through paypal, ebay has support and so does paypal for getting your money back if the tickets are frauds. If It's from ticketmaster, you can also call in and verify the serial numbers with a representative.

Edit, More info:

yes you might pay a bit more on ebay, but there are too many rampant scammers on craigslist to take the chance. If there are still tickets available for sale, and the event is not sold out, buy them from ticketmaster online, you can print a valid ticket from your PC, also if it's not gonna be sold out, just get one from the window before the show....

Wow a 16 year old who likes Eric Clapton! You've restored my faith in the coming generation!

hope you have a great birthday!
