But Akon is da man!!! No! Seriously, you should focus more on what the song says in relation to your relationship with her. This is what she'll be looking for and remember the most! Your voice is irrelevant because in a gesture like this it is all about sentiment! Think about songs that she likes, songs that you and her have heard together. If you are really worried about your voice, you could learn a few lines from a song in a foreign language (just be sure to have the translation!) that way, the focus will be on the fact that you learned a language (or part of it!) to help express your feelings for her! Another tip, pick a song sung by a man. That way it is easier for you (a man) to mimic the sounds you hear. Norah Jones in a male baritone might not be so cute! Above all, make eye contact! She will undoubtedly swoon! Good luck!

Try a David Gray song. I personally like "This Years Love" and "Please Forgive Me". They aren't too hard to sing but they are nice, special songs.
