Sometimes women get inseminated just to have a specific sex. A lab can extract just the male/female sperm. As for doing it naturally.... none that I am aware of BUT the male sperm are faster swimmers so you have a better chance if you try to do it right at ovulation vs. doing it a few days before ovulation. Girl sperm are slower but live longer.

"SEX PRESELECTION may be used to increase the chances of having a child of a certain sex. The technique we use is based on the premise that sperm cells carrying a Y chromosome (male) move faster than those carrying an X chromosome (female). As the sperm cells move through an albumin solution, sperm seperate according to whether they carry an X or Y chromosome. The woman can then be artificially inseminated with X or Y bearing sperm depending on the sex she desires for her baby. "

Old wive's tales state that if you wait until the end of your ovulation time there is better than a 50/50 chance it will be a boy---they also suggest that you try to stand on your head after sex too--- so --if you really prefer one over the other, you may want to spend the bucks and have your eggs implanted medically....that's the only guarantee of which you will get oh, and how many girls/boys are in your husbands family is a good telltale-- if he is an only child--not so good, if he has 5 sisters and he's the only boy--- you have a better chance for a girl---good luck to you.....you love whatever you get----I have 2 girls and I wouldn't trade them for a boy...............

Well if you keep the baby incubator (pregnant lady) at or above 32 degrees C, then it will be a boy. If the temp dips any lower and it will be a girl.

Not unless you undergo selective artificial insemination (controversial and expensive if even available, I'm not sure). sperm has either an X (female) or a Y (male) chromosome to contribute to the woman's X chromosome. It all depends on who gets to the egg first...an X sperm or a Y sperm!

next we will genetically be able to pic out eye color and hair color, height...etc.
