True or False. Latitudes and longitudes are real natural curves on the earth. It's a homework problem, so I'm trying to figure out if it's a trick problem or not. Thanks.

I hate to give someone an answer to a homework question... But, if I'm wrong, it's serves you right. I'd say false, because the lines are just invisible measuring tools. Someone invented them to chart locations on the map. Do you see lines everywhere, because you're sitting at a point of lat. and long. right now.

Connect the ttttt's in latitude and they form a line that goes from left to right. Elongate the "g" in longitude and the line travels from top to bottom. That's how I remember the difference.

It`s not. It`s just a grid made by human to identifying the exact location (Coordinates) of an object on the earth.

Climate zones like the tropics or polar zones might be concidered natural because they are distinguished by actual natural conditions.

No, they are not real curves. They are lines applied (by humans) to maps and globes.
