i went up to my room to go to sleep. So i dozed off dreaming of being in a movie. then i could feel my body moving up but it wasnt my body it was my spirit i literally thought i was dying i rised up to the celing and woke up. Can your spirit come out of your body when your sleeping? Has anyone had a simliar experience?

It used to be called "Astral Projection" and its very common. Some researchers (Carrington & Muldoon) claim that everyone does this while they are asleep but they rarely rememebr it upon waking. It occurs at death also but usually spontaneous projection does not mean you are in any danger.

it's actually very common.. at least some people know how to do it and do it all the time. they say our spirits leave our bodies every time we sleep and we're just really spirits living in physical bodies. it's not dangerous in any way because if something happened, like let's say your body smelled smoke from a fire or a loud noise... your spirit then zooms back into your body. i left my body just one time but there are a ton of books on this subject like by robert monroe. some famous people throughout history have had OBE's too.
