Make him dinner.... but instead of dinner just make huge ice cream sundaes... its sweet, funny in that its not expected at all, and honestly, who could forget their girlfriend making/allowing them to eat just a giant sundae for dinner?

Two weeks may feel serious, but it's not, say, jewelry serious,. so don't go overboard. You may freak him out. Remember you have to save money for more important gifts at Christmas and his birthday, too.
You may want to ask this again and give more specific information about your guy; likes, dislikes, etc. It's very difficult to give suggestions for presents for a completely unknown 17ish guy.
Here are ten things I would feel comfortable giving a guy I've been dating for two weeks.
1. An iTunes gift card
2. Chocolate-- guys like chocolate too. If you don't want to get him a heart shaped box, get him some fancy candy bars.
3. A video game you can play with him
4. A new wallet with a picture of you in it and a sappy note inside
5. A (small) stuffed animal that points to a pet name or private joke
6. Any small item he mentioned he wants but doesn't have, like a CD or book. (Shows you were listening...)
7. Nicely frame a picture you have of the two of you. You may want to make yourself a matching one.
8. Make him a mix CD of songs you think he'll like.
9. Get a temporary tattoo of your name and his name forever and show it to him. Here at Navy Pier in Chicago there is a kiosk that does it; you could have a friend do it in waterproof eyeliner and makeup.
10. Plan the V-Day evening! Take the pressure off of him. Make it low key, even just coffee. I think a lot of guys want to acknowledge your "coupleness" on Valentine's Day, but beyond that, they may not know what to do.
Don't get too worked up about Valentines Day. Some young guys are very sensitive and understanding, but some, like the young man I dated in college who ordered me a pizza for Valentine's day, after I gave him a hand-assembled book of (I thought) meaningful poetry, just aren't that into it. They'd rather have something practical, and enjoy spending some time with you. I also knew a girl that gave her boyfriend a sign to wear around his neck that said "Jane's Boyfriend." I don't think he liked it.

I've been dating my b/f for about a month or so and I don't really know what to get him, I don't really have the money.... plus he said he doesn't want to celebrate it b/c it is overrated and everyone commercializes it too much. That is not what I wanted to hear...anyway, I am just going to get a small stuffed animal to think of me when I am not with him, and something else he has been wanting, but I can't say on here... But I wish you all the luck... and your heart will tell you what to give him... it will come to you when the time is right.

Well...this might not work for him since he's only 17--but if he happened to be in band or something it might so I thought I'd suggest it:
At www.vitaminrecords.com they have string quartet versions of popular bands and artists (like No Doubt, Metalica, Beach Boys, Garth Brooks--all sorts of artists)--they also have jazz and swing tribute albums. I would buy one of their CDs--a quartet or jazz version of one of his favorite bands--and have it playing during your valentines date (if you drive somewhere ask him if you can play this CD for him...don't tell him what it is or that its his gift). It will be fun to see how long it takes him to realize those violins are playing his favorite songs.
