men who cheat on their wives for a long time and not with one woman but with many and usually are short term relationships just for sex..could be those men be miserable or missing something with their wives or even if they are happy they could still cheat?

Well my best friend would constantly cheat on his wife and he told me that it was because he felt insecure about himself and everytime he was able to get another girl he felt better. I truly believe that usually if a guy gets into an affair with just one women then he may be lacking something in the marraige But I would have to say that guys that cheat with many other women like that for whatever reason will constantly cheat even if they are happy.

Yes, I am not a cheater, however I know some men always constantly need variety in their lives so they must sleep with other people constantly, it is a sickness.. sometimes they could be miserable or missing something and are looking for that extra attention in their lives. Cheating isn't right, but some of these men could also not be right inside their minds..
another reason could very well be they just have no love and consideration for their wives..

They could be very much satisfied and happy with their lives but still could cheat. It depends upon many things - like their having a sexual appeal for the opposite sex ; flirting nature ; money/power ; their ability to cheat their spouse and family ; their over-confidence in life etc.
While most women would detest such men, the men would feel they are 'lucky' and this summerises the basic urge men have for sex and the difference between women who are monogamous by nature and the men, who are polygamous.
This behaviour dates back to the old days of antiquity when men were the 'protectors' and warriors for the tribe. Since they would lose life while fighting enemies or preying for animals, there would always be a shortfall in their numbers and therefore women would encourage the polygamous behaviour in men.
Since the genetic coding modifies very slowly over generations polygamous behaviour is still very much the part of a male psyche. Those who cheat are the ones who have lesser inhibitions.

These kind of men are selfish hogs and only care about the sex and no one esle but themselves... This is just wrong no matter if it is the woman or the man that is doing the cheating... Are you not afraid of STD's? I hop the wife finds out and gets away from the cheating husband because she deserves better then this. I know i am not a guy but this is how i feel and i could not help but answer:)

A lot of them would cheat no matter who they were with. It's usually not about the woman. It's usually about the mans own insecurity and his need to be with different women in order to feel good about himself.
Sometimes is cultural also. Some people will get mad at this but I've noticed that it's very common amongst Spanish and Italian men.

No, they're just losers. They could have a super model at home and would still cheat.
Sex doesn't make people happy. It's a lot of fun, but hapiness is another issue.
People who cheat the way you describe are sad individuals who are desparately seeking ANYTHING they think will fulfill them, but they never find it because they're looking in the wrong place.
Ironically, the same behavior they pursue to feel better usually turns out leaving them in a worse situation than when they started.

Yes something is missing,
Some men are not getting there emotional needs met.
and some only want sex or both from the woman.
They have not found the one yet. maybe they got married
to soon or when they were to young. or someone from there
past they never got over. yes they will cheat because they need
to find what is missing.

depends if you are talking about sex or just having a friend of the opposite sex. i never cheated but was accused of having an innappropriate social affair (whatever that is) by my wife. i talked to our neighbor too much. ???? yet she can have business lunches, business trips, male collegues, male friends and hides it under the term business relationships. my a s s . at my point in life, sex ain't no big thing, i just want a woman who i can talk to who listens and understands what it is i'm saying.
