Yes I had a dream that I was falling in an elevator.. woke up screaming.. Those falling dreams.. really blow

Well actually no, but I have woke up crying when I dream of something sad. I have even laughed in my sleep and woke up laughing.

when i was a kid i had this recurring nightmare - i was strapped to the railway lines and a train was coming - just before it hit me the ground gave way (it was a bridge over a river) and I fell through and drowned...
when you drown they don't hear you scream - but you hear it in your head..
