My friend Jeremy died a few years ago. He was in the Navy and we were dating. I broke up with him because my feelings for him weren't as strong as they should have been. He got upset and went AWOL (abscense without leave) and was beaten to death a few weeks later, which was ironic because he was a boxer. I feel responsible for his death to this day and I miss him so much. He was buried with my military dog tags in his hand.

I had a dream about him the other night, that I was in a house and I looked out the window and there were some guy friends of mine (none of them know each other in real life, but they knew each other in the dream) in the driveway looking at a new car. The house seemed pretty upscale. Well Jeremy was there looking at the car with the others, but looked up and saw me in the window. He came inside and just held me without saying anything. And I started crying and then I told him, "I thought you were dead, Jeremy. They told me you died." Then I woke up.

I feel it was my fault because I dumped him and the next day he was AWOL. He didn't take the breakup well at all. He really was in love with me.

My gut feeling and first impression is that you are all still working on the same team, somehow but he is now on the other side as part of the team still. All those guys around a car (that likely represents you) and then men around it with their own perspective and playing important roles in your life. Just because Jeremy has moved to spirit does not mean his work or purpose here is over.

He has taken time out to comfort you and let you know that he does not blame you and he cares very much for you still and he is looking out for you. And he still has a role in your life (in memory or spirit).

Peace!

I'm guessing (and this may seem weird) that you are ready to enter a relationship with a new person. There are quite a few people that are interested in you, but you are maintaining your distance.

The upscale house indicates that you are interested in something permanent and quality rather than a passing fling.

The loving part of you that you thought had died with Jeremy is alive and well. Jeremy recognized your readiness to enter the next stage in your life and he came to you to give you his blessing.

Live well

The death of a loved one may be the result of numerous factors. You may feel genuine anxiety for that person's well-being. The death may be more symbolic than that as you struggle with the reality of your love for that person as weighed against repressed anger towards them. Finally, it may herald the passing of the relationship if the loved one is romantic and not familial in connection.

To see your friends in your dream, signifies aspects of your personality that you have rejected, but are ready to integrate these rejected part of yourself. The relationships you have with those around you are important in learning about yourself. Additionally, this symbol foretells of happy tidings from them and the arrival of good news. To see your friends, saddened and troubled, in your dream, signifies sickness and distress upon them. To see your childhood friend in your dream, signifies regression into your past where you had no responsibilities and things were much simpler and carefree. You may want to escape the pressures and stresses of adulthood. Consider the relationship you had with this friend and the lessons that were learned. Alternatively, the childhood friend may be suggesting that you have been acting in a childish manner and you need to start acting like an adult.
To see the dead in your dream, forewarns that you are being influenced by negative people and are hanging around the wrong crowd. You may suffer material loss. This dream may also be a way for you to resolve your feelings with those who have passed on. To see and talk with your dead father in your dream, signifies that you are about to enter into an unlucky transaction or rotten deal. Thoroughly think through your decisions before entering into them. To see your dead mother in your dream, signifies your wretched and mean-hearted nature towards others around you. Seeing your dead parents in your dreams, may mean your fears of losing them or your way of coping with the loss. You may want that last opportunity to say your final good-byes to them. To see your dead sibling, relative, or friend alive in your dream, indicates that you miss them and are trying to relive your old experiences you had with them. In trying to keep up with the pace of your daily waking life, you dreams may serve as your only outlet in coping and coming to terms with the loss of a loved one.
To dream that you are crying, signifies a release of negative emotions that is more likely caused by some waking situation rather than the events of the dream itself. Your dream is a way to regain some emotional balance and a way to safely let out your fears and frustrations. In our daily lives, we tend to ignore, deny, or repress our feelings. But in our dream state, our defence mechanisms are no longer on guard and thus allow for the release of such emotions. To wake up crying, suggest the grieving of your soul and that you need to change your ways and how you approach things.
