Brain Teaser? If i have 8 different brands of chocolates, how many different pairs can i form in total?

eg. each kitkat can only be paired with a mars bar once and it has to be paired with all other 7 pairs of chololates. how many total combos can i have?

This is simply 8C2--the number of combinations of 8 things taken 2 at a time. It equals 8!/2!(8-2)! = 8*7/2 = 28 different combos.
