Were they being racist? they also post on website on internet where they said, white speices is in danger something like that ...... if you think about it we celebrate white history all year long, president day, 4th of july etc.what do you think about this situation?

Of course there is still racism, but I think people protesting Black History Month have too much time on their hands. I enjoy learning about the people who've made our nation great, no matter what color, sex or nationality they happened to be.
Tolerance/acceptance and non-judgement are the way to go. It's basically people minding their own business and keeping their mouths shut when no one asked their opinion.
As for true bigots, such as the KKK and neo-Nazis, etc., I'd like to hope that their numbers are dwindling. No one needs that crap(especially white people, as those jerks give us a bad name!). They're about the only people who get me feeling violent(not good, I admit). I protested at a KKK demonstration years ago. I wanted to bash their heads in. Those sickos even had their little kids doing the Seig Heil.

Racism does still exist. Just look around this site for examples.
Whites are not a "species", and there is NO danger of white people disappearing anytime soon; we're extremely plentiful and fruitful.
Although opposing black history month is not racist in itself, I imagine that the majority of people who oppose it do so for racist reasons. These particular people you witnessed undoubtedly fall into the racist category. However, I have also met many people who oppose black history month for non-racist reasons; most of them are black people who feel it is unnecessary and insulting.
I personally choose to celebrate black history month. I would like to see a day when it is no longer necessary--when the historical endeavors of blacks have finally taken hold in our history books. Until then, though, this will just have to do.

Racism is not as bad as it was years ago but as a black person, i think we seem to think that prejudice towards our ignorance is the same as racism. When if we (black people) weren't on TV cursing and acting a fool then we would be respected more. Also if we could become more educated as a whole then we wouldn't need thing such as affirmative action, or even our own month.

i am sure you are accutly aware that racism is very much alive and strong. evil people in the world try to pick fights with people who are different then them no matter what the issue is. this is not always confined to race. it comes in many different forms. some fight for religion, others fight with each other on who is better looking, girls get tormented in schools by other girls, i believe that hatred on others stem from jeaousy and insecurity. if you are comfortable with yourself there is no need to pick on others and instigate problems. ignorance is bliss my friend!
