in equilibrium? Let w1 = 120 N and w2 = 59.0 N
b)What coefficient of static friction between the 120 N block and the table ensures equilibrium?
c)If the coefficient of kinetic friction between the 120 N block and the table is 0.295, what hanging weight should replace the 59.0 N weight to allow the system to move at a constant speed once it is set in motion?

Need help on this on guys, been working on for hours- thanks

I'm assuming you have a 120N block on the table, arope attached over a pulley to a 59N mass hanging on the other end.
a) F=f=uN=59N
b) uN=F so u=F/N=59/120=0.4917
c) Fe=0=F-f=F-uN
F=uN=0.295 120N=35.4N
I hope it helps
