Well, I work at Sea World, and if you are planning on doing some work with marine animals then trust me this is a good choice. Yes, it is a career job too. Sea world does all sorts of things with marine biologist, not just dolphin and whale trainers; they also have a search team that doesn't work in the park and rescues animals. So yes, there are job opportunities with this degree.

Yes, it is if you are able to get into a company that handle marine life like on sea storemen in the pacific. Once a month they put add in the new paper, you may have to stay on sea for a month put this is what you enjoy so do give up you will find something.

NO! At sea world they keep the trained animals in enclosed spaces, while in the wild they swim nearly 100 miles a day. Although it is said they were rescued, they were actually capture from the wild as babies, and their parents were killed to keep them from attacking the boat. The enclosures they are kept in backstage are about the size it would feel as if to be in a bathtub, only on the beluga scale. The workers fondle the whales to collect sperm, just to make the females have more offspring to make more profit on the shows. :( Don't take the job.
