The reason why so many on the right hate Michael Moore is in telling his story he sometimes uses the very techniques that Fox News uses when they are covering issues: one sided arguments and selective facts. The very weapons of the right-wing in the States. Plus in using these techniques he has gained a great deal of power and money. That's not playing fair either.
Moore has many valid points and the alternative is required for the subservient media in the USA - sure they are holding their hands up in horror about Iraq now, but where were they all - right and left - 3 or 4 years ago?
Whether you agree with Michael Moore or not, he has restored some balance to the media and widened the scope of debate. A healthy democracy requires vigorous input from all sides of the political spectrum.

I think most of what Michael Moore says is true, and I am being a critical thinker also. I was in IRAQ for a year from 2003 Feb- 2004 Feb, doing convoy security. We, had crappy equipment not every soldier had body armor. After, a while most of us soldiers, even the higher ranking officers weren't sure why we were there, to this day we still don't know. With hundreds, of Billions of dollars going into the restructuring of IRAQ, after a year of being there, it still looked exactly the same. I'm a veteran now, but my unit that I went over there with got a second tour last year, and they told me it still looked the same, like a hell hole. When, someone like Michael Moore, says something people don't want to hear it. People wake up!! You have a right to your own opinions, but do some research, before you go bashing somebody!! By the way don't believe everything the media says about how high the morale of the soldiers are. When I was over there morale was low, but then we would see the news, and they kept saying our morale was high, that would piss us off!!!

I don't hate him - he's the man ! Probably he's disliked because people often don't like and can't handle the truth !
All those people killed on 9/11 due to funding justification and giving Mr. Lobotomy Bush another term - sounds very plausible to me - infact they elluded to such in the 1996 film thriller The Long Kiss Goodnight starring Gena Davis and Samuel L Jackson - maybe that film gave old stunningly-intelligent-I-don't- think-so Bush the idea for what happened in 2001 - makes sense to me - what I don't understand is why can't americans just call a 'tap' a 'tap' instead of a bloody fawcett - they're good for speculation and good feature films - but real life - heh - I don't think so !
Look at the dogs dinner they've made of Iraq - if ever they're was a case against DO-GOODING - Iraq was it !

He's like a broken record on a democratic political agenda who doesn't doesn't see an arguement from both points of view - only his
It's easy to bag anyone in power as everyone makes mistakes. Nevertheless it's interesting to see the behind the scene goings-on in Washington
And why does this guy alway mention Flint Michigan in his documentaries- gives him a chance to go home & visit his parents for free I guess
Needs to lose weight!

First of all. His documentary was very very skewed from reality. Directors can do this little thing called editing, where they can take people's full statements and reduce them down to bits and pieces in order to fit his agenda. Michael Moore is a douchebag. I have never heard this guy do ANYTHING but ***** about America and it's government and foreign policy and everything else. If he dislikes America so bad then why doesn't he move to a socialist country that gives hand outs to fat lazy s.o.b.s like him who aren't willing to work for what they want...

Michael Moore is a self proclaimed liberal. Which is no better than a conservative. One side wants your money the other wants to control your lifestyle. He may have some good points but he only attacks the other side and not his own. Democrat or Republican. they are both evil. You should become a libertarian.

I thought he was good to start with but he has started to repeat himself a lot of late. If you release a movie and an identical book under different titles it gets a bit irritating. I might watch him again if he comes up with something new.

I think it was pretty accurate. I suspect things are actually worse than he showed!
He is hated because he challenged people's comfortable assumptions.

If it was accurate then I think the truth would have been let out by now. He is full of nonsense.
