Especially when we have people living in the streets in the USA. I don't understand why or how we as USA residents would allow him to do this. We NEED that kind of money to stay in the states. I'm 49 years old and can't find work, but I do the best that I can do,with what little I have. To top things off, Where is all that money going to come from? Guess where?.....

Just look at Florida. All those people lost those homes in that tornado. Send some money to them. I heard today that they have to register to get help. How stupid is that? I have relatives that went thru that and they lost everything. Where is our government now? $245 billion to Iraq...but you must register first to get help in the USA!

It doesn't go to Iraq, but to BushOilCo and friends right here in the states. They simply collect $8 billion per month from the US Treasury and go party while there are people living in the streets! These men and their corporations for war and oil are making record profits every year. That's how they have great homes here and in Hawaii at the same time, and drink $2,000 bottles of wine for dinner. The money is coming from places like China, who hold all this massive debt, and for generations to come Americans will be paying them back. These men don't care about the homeless, Florida, or Katrina. They mean us and this country harm as they plunder and exploit their way to "financial freedom."

If you haven't paid a bill in over 20 years ,lets say, does it feel fair to get it unexpectedly. usually no. The truth of the matter is that we should of been involved years ago and we are just getting to it now. I think America is starting to understand it's obligations to help those around the world. So that the fighting will be smaller and cost less because it hasn't grown bigger over the years of ignoring a problem. It's easy to ignor people suffering over in some other part of the world and fighting for rights is always harder then letting the repressed stay repressed. And yes you can fight for a good cause and lose. If you saw a woman being abused on the street and you jumped in to try to help her and in the process lose the fight was it a mistake to jump in ,in the first place. No because I'd rather deal with a bump on the head then willingly turning my head and pretend it didn't happen.

Borrow it from China.
I have a feeling that China is positioning its pieces to become a global power itself.
I also have a feeling 20 years from now people will look back at the 1990s as the zenith of american society. all but 8 months of the new decade, america has been at war with no end in sight after 8 years of "relative" peace

Its not to Iraq, maybe if you did any research at all, you would notice that the US government takes in $400,000,000,000 a month, and that the regular military budget is $300,000,000, less than 1% of the budget.
The $245 billion is normal operating costs. War actually costs less than peace, since in peace every mission results in combat and firing weapons, and during war it only happens when there is a battle, there is more wear on vehicles and more ammunition being fired, but at targets that we pay for, not paid for by the enemy.

The unanticipated tax revenues exceeded 260 billion dollars last year alone.
The US has 4.25 % unemployment, in the 60's 7% was considered full employment. (And there are 15 million illegal employees working). I have clients in texas, North and South Carolina and Georgia who can't find qualified workers. If you are in the rust belt where the unemployment is still high because the long term union jobs are gone forever you might want to think about moving to where the jobs are or retraining for another career.

Bush and hundreds of other elected people in Congress make these decisions. There are more of them ,than the one him. Why continue to blame one person for everything. They all vote on everything. Good Grief! Charlie Brown, you that dumb and blind.

Somewhere in his tiny little Mind, this is okay! Just forget the poor or needy in the United States... gotta help Iraq. Trouble is, he does have to help them.. he has ruined their country after all. And he is well on his way to ruining ours.

Well, it was either send it to Iraq or give it to illegal aliens in the form of food stamps and "relief"..
What, did you think the government was going to let you keep the money you earned, and spend your tax dollars wisely?

Dubya doesn't recognise the lower tax brackets. He's too busy finishing his daddy's business to care about us little people. Expecially us military familes who live on a meager salary per-month and are expected to let him send our husbands off to fight his bogus war.
