I think you're pregnant. Whether you bought that pregnancy test from that particular website or any other brand over the counter, its just the same and it works the same way too. Precisely because you are in your early part of pregnancy, the lines will really look that way.
I also had the same experience but luckily for me I was in my ob-gyne's clinic when I tested so she was able to confirm to me that I was pregnant. I was about 2 weeks pregnant or less during that time so the lines on the pregnancy kit were really very light.

After having a false positive once, I decided to do some research on pregnancy test brands, and I discovered that in this instance, brand DOES count. FirstResponse (in the tests I read at the time) had the most accurate response. As it turned out, the kind I had used was near the bottom of the list, so I took a FirstResponse, and sure enough, no baby. After doing three at-home tests and getting questionable results, my suggestion is to refrain from wasting anymore money on them and make an appointment with a doctor to have a blood test. If you ARE pregnant, you'll want a prenatal check-up anyway, and if you aren't, then this will be a more accurate way to rule it out. You might have to wait a couple more weeks if you've yet to miss your period, but if it's late enough they can do it now. Pre-menstrual symptoms are very similar to early pregnancy and can thus cause some confusion. If you don't have insurance or a doctor, there are resources available for you too. Look for a women's health or women's resource center in your phone book or call information and those folks can direct you to the right one. I include this suggestion because I don't want to make any assumption and this way all bases are covered. Good luck and I hope the results are what you want them to be!

I haven't used those specific ones but I will let you know that I have had First Response tests show very faint lines a week after my period was due. Because of that I was convinced that another brand was giving me a false positive and it turns out it wasn't. More interesting is that the other brand (ClearBlue Digital) is supposed to be LESS sensitive than the First Response test. You'll find SO much good information at www.peeonastick.com. It's a great place for anyone (like me) who is obsessed with HPTs! Good luck!

That's where I get my tests from and so do most of my friends after I told them about it. My first test was taken 6 days after ovulation and 9 days before my period was due, and the line was so faint I had to squint to see it. I actually drove to my mom's house to see if she could see the line that's how confused I was. I then made my hubby take a test so that I could see what a negative looked like. I took a test everyday that week (since I had bought so many since they are super cheap) and lined them up so I could see the line getting darker little by little each day. I didn't get a dark line until I had missed my period. Congratulations on being pregnant!!!! I'm assuming you are happy about it because those of us who buy from that websight are usually trying for a baby. I'm going to start trying again in a few months for my 2nd baby, and have decided to wait until I miss my period because finding out that early made my first trimester drag on forever.
* People, she said only if you had bought them from that websight. Read her question.

When I was pregnant with my son the test I took came up with the faint line and I bought mine from the store. I'm pretty sure they all say on the instructions that if any line even a faint one shows up in the positive window your pregnant. I'm pretty sure the darkness of the line only goes on how much of the pregnancy hormorne you have in your body.

i would say that if there is any line within 10 min. that it is pos. If you are testing fairly early you probably just have enough hcg hormone in your body to turn the test pos. the farther along you get the darker the line would be. So retest in a couple days or first thing in the morning if you are still unsure and you should get a stronger result.
