I can't feel anything(neither can my boyfriend, although he happily obliges my requests for him to fondle me), and at first I thought it may be a lymphnode, but now I'm not sure. I'm only 24, have never had a mamogram, have no medical insurance and am wondering :
a) Any ideas on what this could be?
b) Any free mamogram programs? (Reside in Washington State)

It could be a fiborous cyst. I have those and they are sometimes painful, more painful around my menstual cycle. They are caused by caffeine mainly. Like cokes, coffee, etc. I don't have insurance either, and have a family history of breast cancer so I get a yearly mammogram. The hospital in my area offers a discount, so if I pay the bill in full within the first month it is only $40 dollars. So you may want to check into that. A health clinic may offer to have a doctor check it in the office at a reduced cost also. Good luck!

I so totally do not recommend a mamogram. My guess is you are using a strong deodorant. When it happened to me I was using Mitchum. I stopped using it and the pain went away. A few years later I ran into an old friend who was having the same problem and I asked her if she was using MItchum and she said "How did you know?".

I suggest you switch to an all natural deodorant (like the deodorant crystal or Toms of Maine), never us an antipersperant and put a warm compress on it to help soothe it. If you don't feel noticeably different in 2-4 weeks, then I would consider talking to a health professional about it - but my friend underwent biopsy surgery and such. Her method took her 2 years to get over it - mine was a lot better in 2 weeks and I haven't really thought about it since, except to relate the story to folks.

Peace!

Time to get to a doctor. Your doc will know about any free mammogram programs. Don't neglect this!
