The caudal fin is the tail. If, let's say the fish does not bleed to death, it will not be able to swim as the caudal fin is the primary source for propelling the fish through the water column.

Well i doubt it will be able to swin very well because i am guessing its caudal fin is it very back end fin which goes left to right. I guess it might swim in circles. Only guessing.

They get eaten by a larger fish.

I imagine they swim slower and have trouble steering themselves.
