Microphones, electric guitar, etc. Why did none of it short out in the rain?

Because everything was cordless. And it was definately live because his voice would fade in and out the closer he got to the mic. It was only a 9 volt battery that powered the microphone and a 9 volt battery that runs the cordless unit to the guitar

More than likely most of the equipment was wireless and the sound was sent to a PA that wasn't in the rain. Or he's magical, he is Prince and he does look like a magician.

Ive never heard of a wireless guitar, is that something new from sprint or cingular? His shlt had to be plugged in theres no other explaination. Prince is da shiznit for all you haters out there. Everybody that hated on prince probably wanted to see billy ray cirus or perhaps garth brooks horrible music. Brooks N dunn rednecks! CoLTs suck horse nuts!

They were not on or plugged in. The NFL is now in charge of the half-time show and they did not need some tragedy like having Prince electrocuted. If you can see any replays of it you will notice that his fingers were not always in time with the music being played. It was all lipped synched - but still a good show.

was a light rain, and the cords are waterproofed with the plastic covering. the circuits weren't directly exposed to water, like throwing a hair dryer in a bathtub.

Maybe his equipment wasn't affected, but the stage lights were. One wasn't even working.

Even in rain, that's unprofessional.
