OK- so the dances at my school aren't very formal except the Winter Ball but- most of the time we wear jeans and a cute shirt. It's the valentine's dance- and I don't own a whole lot of pink clothes. Any suggestions for what I could wear to the dance? I was thinking some really cute jeans and a pink/white henley top with an awesome heart necklace. But if you have any suggestions- let me know. Thank you so much! I want to make this dance as special as possible. lol :) Maybe even some accessory and hair ideas too- thanks!!!!

I think your idea sounds really cute~ you could always add more accessories like heart earrings, matching bracelets, and rings. I think some glitter would be nice too and maybe a headband as well. I would definitely recommend going to Claire's boutique or the Icing which you can find at almost any mall. They have an entire Valentine's Day section with cute reasonably priced stuff!~!n Hope you have a great time and get to dance with a cute guy, or many cute guys!

All the girls are going to do the pink/red thing. If you want to be unique wear something other than what everyone else usually does but not so unusual that you are uncomfortable. How about a soft cream colored sweater- something fuzzy. Try an updo- make a low ponytail and start twisting, pull the twist up and bobby pin like crazy, the hair thats at the end of the twist can be curled loosely or even messy. Depending on your style you could wear simple gold or silver hoops. Buy Max Factor Lipfinity lipstick in a dark salmon/deep apricot color and use lots of the gloss on top. Your lips will look great all night well after the other girl's lipsticks have worn off. sweep the top lash line with liquid dark brown eyeliner and dark brown mascara. No eyeshadow or a light dusting of golden shimmer. Use a sweet romantic perfume like a dark vanilla. Have fun!

Hey Cinderella108,

I also have an upcoming Valentines Dance...and well i wanted to look extra special for that special someone :)
A cute dress would be really good, considering its formal, maybe a black dress with white and pink accessories. Also a cute black top with short sleeves, with a V neck would look very good with a pink or white top underneath. Shoes: Don't ever wear high heels to a dance unless you have extra ones to bring with you cause i wore heels and after the first song i ended up taking them off. Its just a hastle to find them after too!
For hair a really cute hairdo would be curled and then putting half of it up but making it kind of poofy...If you know that i mean :D

Well good luck with everything and I bet you will look great!

Since it's casual, I take it that it won't really make much of a difference what you wear. The first thing that came to mind when I read ur question was a sweetheart neckline. In my head, I see a sweetheart neckline with halter straps: in a casual dress with a hankerchief hem over dark slim jeans. Of course, the dress will be red or pink.

Most importantly, in any scenarios, I believe the skinny jeans in a darker blue is really flattering and they really show off your curves. and these are cute with tops with flowy arms, like kimono-style tops. So I hope I helped.

Your hair would be really cute in chic updo-ish, slightly messy ponytail up at the crown of your head. Keep the accessories simple since the rest of the outfit will speak for itself.

Hope I helped! --IC

Something that will match the hoilday spirit.

Try your cute shirt and jeans and match it with something else that's red, pink, or white. Just make sure it's something that you'll feel comfortable in.

The most important thing is just to have fun!

-I hope you have a great time at your dance!

They do have some cute Valentine's t-shirts at Old Navy for $5. Don't know if this is too dressed down for ya, but thought it might come in handy. Good luck!

If you wear that out fit, curl your hair. [That is, if it curls and its long enough] Or you could wear a knee length skirt with maybe a pink floral pattern on it, with the top you talked about. but the outfit you're talking about sounds really cute!

I LOVE IT! I think it's perfect. Go with the white shrug and maybe some cute white flats? You could try curling your hair, or making it wavy-ish, and maybe pinning up half of it, in a half up half down? Or have it all down. You can't go wrong with your hair down!
