[edit] Career
Free is best known as the former co-host of BET video countdown show 106 & Park: BET's Top 10 Live. She left the show after her contract ran out and could not reach a new agreement due to some contract disputes with BET executives.
Free has made guest appearances on a number of hip-hop artists' recordings, and is currently awaiting the release of her first album. She recorded an album but her record label Elektra Records went belly up. She was then put into a production deal with Motown Records, where Sylvia Rhone (former owner af Elektra Records) led her. Free did not feel as though this was the right label for a female rapper, so she left the label and joined Underground Universe. She is still good friends with Sylvia Rhone. She later shopped her album around to Def Jam Records. She was in the process of being signed, but due to pregnancy rumors she withheld. She is currently in the studio, recording new tracks for her album. She has a new song with Canibus. Free is said to be in talks with Irv Gotti, after her appearance on Ashanti's latest album. According to reports, Irv Gotti wants to make her his feature female rapper on his new label, which will be combined with Murder Inc. She is featured on Ying Yang Twins new album, USA (United State of Atlanta), Ashanti's Collectables by Ashanti, Beyonce's "Fighting Temptation" and on Talib Kweli's The Beautiful Mix CD, She has also been featured on Canibus's first release Can-I-Bus, and she was also featured on Wyclef Jean's label Booga Basement, along with Lil' Mo on the 21 Questions(Remix).
In 2006 it was announced by Los Angeles radio station 100.3 The Beat that Free would become a DJ at the station. She is also part of an AT&T advertising campaign with AJ Calloway, also a former host of 106 & Park.
In May 15, 2006, she released a song titled "Call Me" to her Myspace page. This song was used on the 2004 mixtape titled "FreesWorld". The full version was never released until now, with new digitally enhanced vocals.
On. May 24, 2006 Free released a new joint titled "2 Shy 2 Do It". The single is being talked about all over, and she is reported to be in the studio with some big names. The song shows a different side of the talented Boston beauty.
On July 3, 2006 Free released a song titled "Talk to Me" featuring the rapper Jaz-O to her Myspace page.
On July 14th, 2006 Free was reported as leaving KKBT 100.3 The Beat. She has been reported being seen in many big name producers studios since early June. Details are being withheld at this point, but we know that she is working with 3 different Grammy winning producers.
On August 11th, 2006 Free debuted her new single "I Love You" on her Myspace page. The song was leaked onto the internet on August 17th, 2006. The song WILL NOT be her 1st single from her long anticipated album. There are articles reporting the album being titled "Pressure Free", but that is unconfirmed.
Free is featured in a very revealing interview about her departure from 106 & Park along with former co-host AJ Calloway. The issue is apart of the October Vibe Magazine.
Now signed to Inc/Universal Free is ready for her eagerly anticipated Solo Debut. With Production from Salaam Remi, Scott Storch, Missy Elliot, Bryan Cox, Pharrell, Kanye West, Timbaland, Just Blaze, Bink, Chucky Thompson, and Scotty the Gully Ahmadi, the Former TV Host is ready to show the world that she's more than a pretty face sitting on a couch."

they have to change up the scenery every once and a while. it helps ratings. personally, i liked her. i wish she would have stayed. i like her better than jullisa...but, oh well. I saw Free and AJ on one commercial a while ago...and that's all she wrote. if she was smart, she would use her fame and get into other things before she is forgotten
