I'm sure you're fine. spotting is normal with the pill. Unless you missed some pills during the three weeks of active pills and had unprotected sex, you should be okay.

your best bet is to stay off the pill, sounds to me it's a possibility that you are pregnant, because i'm assuming the pill (as most are) hornmone - estrogen and progesterone, that are meant to shut down your cycle. But if u were pregnant (actually the pill is not 100% effective) the uterus certainly may be unstable and lining can be shed (kinda like the menses -period). So do NOT take pill if u could be pregnant. If you have the period tomorrow, then you are likely NOT pregnant, and the pill might not have been working for you, were u using other drugs like alcohol? You should talk to your doctor.

It could be that you're pregnant or its just one of the many side effects of the pill. To be sure, have a pregnancy test right away (NOW) and stop using the pill for now! A home pregnancy kit will do for now. If it turns out positive then go see your ob-gyne.

If spotting persists and your period does not arrive see your ob-gyne as well. There might be something wrong. Otherwise, its just one of the so calle side effects.

Spotting can happen while on the pill. Especially if you are on a pill that has 3 different levels of hormones. (1 different level each week) It also takes a while for you body to adjust to the hormones, so this may also be a cause.
As a reminder, always be sure to take your pills as directed and at the same time everyday
As a safety precausion - Call your doctor, they may want to switch your pill.

You can take the pregnancy test after the first day of your missed period to get a more accurate result. Many women spot during their first round of birth control (I know I did)! Just because you are spotting does not mean you are pregnant. You are right to wait and see if you get your period.

It is very common to spot with a first pack of pills.

Spotting while on the pill is common and called breakthrough bleeding. You are probably not pregnant, but report this to your doctor just in case. It won't hurt you to take a pregnancy test just to ease your worries.
