Sounds like you are hemorrhaging, but PLEASE don't freak out, that is just my opinion of what you described...keep on your doctor to do tests and try to start a multi-vitamin to replenish your iron loss in your blood (so you don't get anemic) and drink plenty of fluids to keep yourself hydrated. Doing too much activity too soon like exercise, sex, or just walking normally could increase your flow-so take it easy when ever possible and best of luck.

You were doing the right thing by going to the doc. I wish I could give you more information, but there are so many reasons that people have these types of problems, that we could be here all night speaking about it, and then may not even touch on the root of it all. It could be stress, it could be from the miscarriage, the accident, hormones, etc. The best thing to do is get poked, prodded and tested and find your starting point and move on from there.
However, if you feel that you aren't getting the treatment that you need, then you might want to get a second opinion, it never hurts, and will definitely ease your mind.
Until your tests get underway and you get an idea of what you are dealing with, make sure you are properly hydrated, and are also taking a supplement (iron, bc of the bleeding).
I wish there was something more I could tell you.
Take care of yourself, and I hope you get it taken care of very soon. :)

I'm very sorry to hear about your miscarriage...As for the bleeding issue...it could be many things...from a physical abnormality to some sort of rupture or tear..to hormonal problems..until you have proper testing done... you will not get an answer to you question...not here and not in a doctor's office either...all they and we can do is speculate...and that, i"m afraid would not be very fair to you...because it would probably scare the heck out of you....

i would strongly suggest that you get those tests done...

I'm sorry about your miscarriage : ( I would get a second opinion, maybe go to a specialist until they figure out what's wrong. You definitely need to get to the bottom of it. What you're experiencing is not normal.

go back to the doctor for tests.

if you don't trust that doctor, find one you do.

don't ignore this.

good luck!
