It never snows in San Francisco. Ever. Last time it truly snowed in the city was February 5, 1976 when it received 1" of snow.
Closest might be Lake Tahoe which is 4 hours due east. However, there's no guarantee that Tahoe will even still have snow in May.

Sometimes there is still snow in the Sierras in May. However, as summer approaches most ski resorts lose the crowds and will not stay open. I have heard that a few resorts around Lake Tahoe do stay open late if there's snow....I would call Alpine Meadows.

this has been a bad snow year so far. Check the south Lake Tahoe area, which tends to have bigger snowpacks than north lake most years (but not always). Right now at Squaw Valley (North lake), the base is 45-60” at the top of the mountain. Kirkwood (south Lake) is 45-65". Not much difference.
