I have a 250 now and I have to have something faster, this thing is freaking slow. I cant hardly pass anyone and feel like im riding a bike. I want my next bike to be sporty, so I was thinking a 600 but I suppose a 650 will do fine but I have never ridden a 650 or 600 so I dont know if a 650 will be enough. im pretty lightweight (135) and 5 10

The 600 is faster than the 650 so don't listen to the guy above me cause he has no idea what he is talking about. CCs do not = faster in sport bikes. For example a ninja 250 is faster than a stock 888 sportster. This is why in Harley land they start on big bikes, nearly 1000cc, while in sport bike counrt we start on 250s.

Anyway...The SV650 is a fun and nimble bike. There is a race series for this bike and on a race trake I can beat liter bikes in the corners all day on an SV. It is fun to ride and a great choice for a track and street bike. i really like these for track use.

The 600 series is also obviously good for track and good for street. It is much faster and takes more skill to get around the track but you can get around a track very very fast on a 600. Even faster than a liter bike (depending on the track).

At this point in your experience I would buy what you want, don't be afraid of the 600s power over the 650. Yes it has more but not enough to warrent waiting. Plus the power doesnt come on until 8k RPMs anyway. So it is more forgiving , unlike liter bikes.

So get the one you want and have fun. Take it easy because these are much faster than a 250.

Keep the 250 for the track they are really fun on a tight track and its a blast to pass liter bikes on a 250.

My first bike was a 400 and that felt slow so I know how you feel, but dont go for the 600 or even 650, youll regret that eventually too. If you are going to invest in a bike go for something atleast 800 - 1000 cc.

i personally feel that getting a 600 would be good enough. (i mean for sport bike ya)
i would one to abuse the bike power more rather than not being able to fully utilise the power of the bike (for bigger CC)
