So how many people have ever thought about what it would be like if we used 80% of our brain ? The average person used 20% of their brain, Einstein used 30% of his. What do you believe you could accomplish using 60% more than you already do ? Do you think you could just say something and make it happen (like bending spoons etc.) ? Give me your thoughts on the subject.

The theory that we only use a portion of our brain is a myth. The brain is very complex but there is no scientific evidence that proves we only use a small percentage of our brain...dont believe me? take a look www.faculty.washington.edu/chudler/tenper

i've thought about what would happen if we used 100% of our brain, and i've concluded it would probably end up in mental overload.

imagine being able to go into a dream state while "awake," solve huge algebra problems in a few seconds, or have a photographic memory. those are some of the possibilities i can think of.

personally, i think you'd have to acquire the ability to focus on multiple things at once (have you tried erasing something with one hand while you're writing with the other? it becomes suddenly difficult). that is my theory of why your brain cannot do all of its many tasks at once, but i wouldn't stake my career on it.

oooowwww dam# hurt my brain going to 21% there for a second :) Its really all just speculation sort of like sitting on your back looking up at the stars and wondering where does it all begin or end. It would drive you mad to ponder it for too long,,,,,,sort of like trying to understand our own brains, truly the processes are complex enough that we can't even understand it yet.... at least not until some smart guy starts using the 80%. quick pass the remote wheel of fortune in on!

We use all of our brains. That whole 10% phrase refers to using our potential. It means people are capable of accomplishing 10 times more than are are actually doing.

Hmm....60% usage of brain power. I can imagine what it would be like; maybe telekinectic or can control people with your minds or, of course what you mentioned -- bending spoons. Maybe, that person might be super intelligent and predicting the future. He might even call himself God.

Who knows...

Even if we used 100% of our brain it has nothing to do with us. We are not our brain, or intellect or mind or body, or nationality, or religion, etc. WE are eternal spirit souls, part and parcel of the Supreme Soul, also known as Krishna Allah, Jehovah, Vishnu, etc. We have to reconnect to regain our real eternal intelligence which is beyond the human brain.want more info. go to harekrishnatemple.c read Bhagavad Gita as it is By Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada.

I don't think it would be that great. I mean, Albert Einstein was REALLY smart. What fun is it to know everything? You can never descover new things, everything would be boring.

Oh wow...
I don't think I could do that. But I believe that I would be so smart that I could invent a new gadget everyday.
